This cause isn’t just close to my heart—it is my family’s reality. I will be raising money this summer for Camp4ever! I can think of no cause more worthy of my support than to help these kids go to camp. Camp4ever!, a project of Chai4ever, gives hundreds of children the opportunity to shed the heavy emotional burdens they carry all year. Growing up, my father went through three open-heart surgeries, including a life-saving heart transplant. Living with a seriously ill parent means growing up way too fast. You carry a constant, heavy weight of anxiety and uncertainty, all while stepping into adult roles to help your family cope. But we weren't alone. Chai4ever was there for us every step of the way. Because of the incredible lifeline they threw my family, I am determined to give back by supporting Camp4ever! We even have our own personal match for the donations given to this campaign, meaning your impact will go twice as far. Children with a seriously ill parent face immense isolation. Many keep their family’s medical crisis a secret from friends. Camp4ever! provides a safe space where these kids can finally open up, share their challenges, and realize they are not alone. The staff works tirelessly with one goal: to restore a piece of childhood. For these kids, camp is the only time they can leave the heavy burden of illness behind and just be a child again. Unfortunately, a parent's illness brings severe financial distress, making camp an impossible luxury when it is needed most. Our Torah obligates us to care for one another and carry each other's burdens. Supporting these children is a beautiful opportunity to fulfill this mitzvah and show our commitment to Hashem by easing the pain of suffering children. My personal goal is to raise $1800 to send these incredible kids to camp. Any amount you can give as tzedakah will make a profound difference, and all donations are 100% tax-deductible.
